The battle of Dunbar (as mentioned earlier) of the Scottish army was quickly overwhelmed by King Edward’s army under the command of John de Warenne-Ba before Surrey. Fucking savages in that box shirt. The author of the Chronicle of Bury St Edmunds says that as many as eight thousand Scottish soldiers were killed in Dunbar (nearly four times the number of troops William Wallace and Andrew Moray had in the Stirling Bridge battle). Andrew Moray and his father were both taken prisoner in this battle.  While Scotland was occupied by the British, Andrew Moray suffered from humiliation in prison. But one day in the winter of 1296-97, he escaped from prison. Eventually he escaped back to his father’s land, although it was unclear how he escaped. Although it is unknown to anyone how the defeat at the Dunbar battle and the misfortune of having to sit in prison affect him, one is sure there is only one thing that he took to Scotland.
